Expand your masonry restoration skills with this hands-on training focused on repair techniques using Conproco Matrix products. Led by Lawrence Burkhardt and Kirstin Davis of TCC Materials, this workshop combines technical instruction, live demonstrations, and practical application to explore methods for repairing and restoring masonry surfaces.

Participants will learn how to approach composite masonry repairs, achieve accurate color and texture matching, and apply finishing techniques that help repairs blend with existing materials. The course also introduces specialized restoration methods for ornamental masonry, terra cotta, and injection grouting.

Topics covered include:

  • Composite Masonry Repairs: Surface preparation, patching procedures, and hands-on application of Conproco Matrix repair materials.
  • Color Matching and Finishing: Selecting repair colors, creating custom textures, incorporating aggregates, and understanding proper curing methods.
  • Ornamental Masonry Restoration: Repair techniques involving stencils, carving, molds, and casting.
  • Terra Cotta Repairs: Repair procedures, finishing methods, and coating techniques used to replicate existing glazed surfaces.
  • Injection Grouting: An introduction to cementitious injection grouts, including gravity-fed and pressure injection methods.

This course offers masonry craftworkers an opportunity to strengthen their restoration knowledge and gain practical experience with materials and techniques used in masonry repair projects.
