SMS Messaging

BAC offers SMS messaging services to current registered apprentices who opt-in during the registration process at the beginning of their training year through their orientation paperwork. By opting in, apprentices agree to receive SMS messages related to their training, including but not limited to:

  • Class-related communications (e.g., cancellations, homework assignments, schedule changes)
  • Reminders for class or assessments
  • Invitations and reminders for BAC community events

Opting In and Out of SMS Messaging

Participation in BAC's SMS messaging service is entirely voluntary. Apprentices can opt-in to receive these messages when completing their orientation paperwork. By opting in, you provide BAC with permission to send SMS messages to the mobile phone number you provided.

If at any time you wish to stop receiving SMS messages, you may opt-out by contacting us or replying "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you choose to opt-in again for continued communication.

Please note that standard messaging and data rates may apply based on your mobile service provider’s plan.

Privacy of SMS Data

Your SMS opt-in data and consent are handled with the same level of confidentiality as any other personal information provided to BAC. This information is only accessible by authorized BAC staff and is never shared with third parties.
